CBM stand at CRE2005

A group of Christian Brethren operated Ministries joined about 200 other exhibitors to be part of the 5th Australian Christian Resources Exhibition held from 6th to 8th July 2004 in The Dome, Sydney Olympic Park Showground, Homebush Bay, NSW, Australia.  They shared the space of Display Stand CM15.

There was also a separate display in Stand A5 dealing with Camp Toukley in particular.

This was our third year at the Exhibition and we hope the information and literature provided was useful to those who attended. The organisers say there was a total of about 9000 visitors came through over the 3 days.

Visitors to our Stand were encouraged to obtain more information by visiting this web site and clicking on the specific Ministry links on the Main Menu. It is hard to assess the effect of being at the Exhibition. We know quite a few enquiries were handled; many pieces of literature and vouchers for free Bible Correspondence Lessons were given out; and many useful interactions with other ministry groups occurred. We must of course leave the long term results in the Lord's hands.

Each of the Ministries listed below had information on display and/or available as handouts:–

    • Assemblies Outreach Magazine
    • Bible Gem Calendars Ministry
    • Camp Toukley
    • Christian Brethren Community Services (Elouera Gardens Christian Retirement Village, etc)
    • Emmaus Bible College
    • Emmaus Correspondence School
    • GLO Ministries - Australia
    • Lutanda Children's Services
    • Prison Ministry Outreach
    • Spearhead Magazine (GLO)
    • Stewards' Foundation of Christian Brethren

In addition, there was a continuously running series of 4 PowerPoint presentations showing on a computer screen. These covered Stewards Foundation, Emmaus Bible College, the Emmaus Correspondence Courses, and Christian Brethren Community Services.

Thanks must go to each of the above Ministries for providing materials. Also to all the volunteers who came to help set up the Display, be on duty during the hours the exhibition was open, and help pack up afterwards. A special thank-you also goes to Graham Hayden who coordinated the whole effort.

Now it's time to start thinking about CRE 2006 - which is planned to be held at the same venue in July next year!
